Making a Difference in Papua New Guinea

Missionaries Micheal & Lynette Joseph have used the Christmas Joy Gift Bags for the past 3 years to effectively minister to children. The bags were a great tool as they started a new children’s Sunday School class. Around 70 children came to the special joy bag service. They kept coming and many have been saved as a result. God is using the Joseph family to reach Papua New Guineans who are gripped by the fears of tribal warfare and animism. Praise the Lord that his Word changes lives and lost souls have been freed from the bondage of sin!

Note: As this post was being written, I heard from Paul & Pedro who are driving our van to Mexico. They will hopefully arrive on Saturday for a special service in Saltillo. Missionary Chris Lanier is going to officially organize the church he planted there. But at the moment, they are broke down on the side of the interstate in Arkanas. It may be an issue with the timing belt. Pray the repairs go quickly and that it will not be costly.

Update 9/23/16: Repairs were made and their trip is back on track!

Disaster Relief Assistance

Special thank you to all those that helped by giving financially, donating disaster relief items and helping to load the container. We just shipped our second 40ft container to Puerto Rico to Missionary Johnny Daniels.

Christmas Joy Gift Bags

It will bless your heart to see the children receiving their Christmas Joy Gift bags and the Gospel! Let us know as soon as possible if you are participating with this year’s Joy Bag project and if you need the special bags to fill.

Delivery for Saltillo

Our driver took our tractor and 53ft trailer to the border earlier this month. It contained 97,500 Scripture booklets, 1,592 Bibles, 4 pianos, 432,000 gospel tracts and numerous other materials that will be greatly used to win souls for Christ.

It is encouraging to see this shipment as it traveled from our warehouse and arrived at our distribution center right into the hands of the missionaries and national pastors in MX who desperately need it! Thanks for making this possible by giving and praying for our ministry! We couldn’t do it without you because of the great transportation expenses involved.

New Video – WV Flood Relief

Hear about our disaster relief efforts to help the flood victims in West Virginia. We appreciate all the churches who have helped with these great needs!

Providing Disaster Relief for WV

We have the privilege of helping churches in West Virginia that were affected by the recent storms. A state of emergency has been declared for multiple counties. Many homes were swept away by floodwaters and the death toll continues to rise. If you would like to be a blessing to the affected families, you can donate goods from the list below or give funds for involved expenses. As churches distribute these needed supplies, they will have a great opportunity to share the Gospel and invite people to their services.

We will be taking multiple trips, as God provides, to the hard hit areas. If you would like to donate, please do so as soon as possible. (The cutoff date for this project is July 25th) Donated goods can be dropped off at our warehouse. For more information call our office 740-667-6166 or email us office@directlineministry.com. Reaching Jews in Mexico City

We are loading a 53ft trailer that will soon be on its way to the border with materials for missionaries in Mexico. Along with 2 pallets of Bibles and several pallets of Scripture booklets and tracts, we are sending much needed supplies for planting churches. Dozens of missionaries and national pastors will receive the donated goods. Several cases of Bibles are going to a missionary who reaches the Jewish community in Mexico City. These are the first Bibles we have shipped in Hebrew!

Along with this shipment for Mexico, we have also been working on a shipment of tracts for Fiji, a 40ft container for Trinidad, a shipment for Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and other countries are still in the works. Two pallets recently left the warehouse and are on their way to England. Praise the Lord for helping us spread His Word to lost souls around the world.

Tracts Going To Fiji

We just received a shipment of 25,000 tracts that will be going to a missionary in Fiji. It is exciting to add another country to our ever-growing list of places we have supplied.

Fiji is an island country in the South Pacific Ocean about 1,100 miles northeast of New Zealand. The tracts will soon leave our warehouse and help the missionary as he leads people to Christ and invites them to church.

As I write this newsletter, I am so excited to share with you what God has done and is doing. Thank you for continuing to pray for my wife, Debbie. In my newsletter in January, she was starting to sit up in bed, turn over without help and with very little pain.

Every time a nurse came from hospice to see Debbie, all they could say is “you are amazing.”  One nurse told me “After knowing your wife, I don’t know how anyone could not believe there is a God.” The nurses call her the miracle lady.

What a testimony Debbie’s illness and God’s miraculous healing has been! Because of her continued improvement hospice discontinued on Feb. 14th. Home Health Care took over, but she is improving so quickly they discontinued on April 8th. Today she is walking with a walker and is about ready to trade it for a quad cane.

Easter Sunday, she was able to go to Church. What a blessing! This was the first time she was able to go out since she had become bedfast over a year and a half ago. Debbie also had a frozen right shoulder for 7-8 years. Her right arm and hand had excruciating nerve pain to the touch and her hand was always resting on her chest. When God started healing her, He took away the nerve pain. Her shoulder became moveable and now she can put her arm down to her side.

God has performed a miracle! The Lord has blessed us with a wonderful Christian doctor. He looked at Debbie and me and said, “There is no medical explanation why you recovered.” It’s just God! There is so much more that happened I would like to share with you maybe someday in person. Debbie  wants to start traveling with me again to churches. We are praying for a travel trailer which would make it easier for her to travel. Next month, Debbie and I will celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary.

We met 38 years ago on Easter Sunday at a Sunrise service. Also next month, we will celebrate 30 years in the ministry. God is so good to us! If you would like to schedule us to come and give an update please call or email.
